TriCities Magicians' Society
Meeting called to order on January 13th , 2004 at 541 Café (541 Franklin Street, Clarksville, TN)
Members present: Jim Dennis, Paul Herrell, & Wallace Redd
Guests present: Chris Hodges and his wife(Flora), Jason Moseley, Steve Schroering, & Wallace Redd, Jr.
A brief business meeting was held and a discussion as to when to hold the meeting took place. The third Tuesday of the month was entertained as an option and all of the members voted to change the day. This will prevent conflict with the Fellowship of Christian Magicians in Nashville. Also discussed was the April lecture. It was decided to leave it on the second Tuesday of April and perhaps have just the lecture with the meeting the following week.
Magifest was mentioned and several of the members and guests are planning on attending.
Jim Dennis gave treasures' report: One new member(Jeff Mullins) since last meeting, balance $60.
Break for Magic:
There was a flurry of magic tonight. Wallace showed some card tricks, peanut can trick, and some coin magic. Jason showed some exciting card magic, coin magic, and coin box magic. Jim showed his Benson bowl routine, some card tricks, and he also discussed some coin moves he had worked out years ago. Paul did a card trick using two decks of cards(triple vision). Chris did some coin tricks and showed some sleights he had developed, he also did some card magic.
Magic was still going on at the Café 541 when this secretary had to leave to return home, much to my sorrow.
