

Tri-Cities Magicians' Society
The meeting began at approximately 6:35 pm on May 18th, 2004. Location 541 Café (541 Franklin Street, Clarksville, TN).
Members Present: Wallace Redd, Paul Herrell, Jim Dennis, & Stephen Schroering
The meeting started with Jim showing a new trick, Stop Light Cards, which he had recently gotten. We then proceeded to discuss a show which would Steve had been discussing with a local church. The pastor is still considering this and Steve will get back to the group about it as it develops. Paul has been working some possible fundraisers for the fall and will report back as these develop also.
Some discussion about future lectures ensued. Paul inquired about sources of lecturer tours. Wallace stated David Acer as a possible resource. The group discussed that they would all like to plan some future lectures.
Jim announced the club savings balance.
Future fundraiser options were discussed. Possible shows, etc.
Paul reminded everyone of local events: Razzle Dazzle Magic Show in Murfreesboro on May 22nd, which TCMS members Wallace Redd, Paul Herrell, and Charles Rhodes will participate in. SEAM in Nashville on September 2-4th was announced.
Future meeting locations were entertained and at the present time will continue at the 541 Café
Magic throughout the meeting included:
JIm performing Stop-Light Cards, Rubber band tricks and color changing knives for the waitress. Paul showed a Shell phone variation he had worked on since Wallace presented it several months ago.
Wallace performed the Chicago opener, aka. Red Hot Mama, and a discussion began about possible variations in the routine and how to customize it for special situations, ie, Birthday parties, weddings, etc.
The group then discussed the mechanics of the Pop Eyed popper deck and how it could be used in various scenarios and modified to make it work in even more situations.
Some card manipulation was then discussed, ie. card flipping, and the handling was worked on with the members.
The next meeting will be on June 15th and is was decided that a theme would be a good idea. Wallace suggested cups and balls. The group decided that was a great idea.
Meeting ended around 9PM.
