TriCities Magicians' Society
Members present: David Bilan, Daryl Grace, & Paul Herrell. Guests: Jerry, Jane, & Cheryl.
The meeting met with members performing magic for the guests. Paul performed the Web, Mental card predicition, coin assembly, perfect triumph. *David performed knot and rope, string thru hand, and other effects. *Daryl performed king to Jesus, and other effects also.
One of the guest, Jerry brought up that his daugher sponsers a charity group and is interested in having TCMS perform to raise money for the charity. All were in agreement that TCMS could probably help with this.
The guests then left and the meeting included discussion of performing for Ft. Campbell (options). Some discussion of Battle of the Wizards. Also mentioned was Stephen Bargatze's talk at the next meeting.
The club has a show on August 7th at 6:00PM for a church, "Back to School Bash".
Also discussed was how the shows are funded and how to provide money for the club so there will be resources to perform/sponsor activities & events.
Much informal discussion was carried out prior the meeting adjourning and the members going home.
The Shoney's regional manager was there and members performed multiple effects for him and the wait-staff. Discussion of future shows for Shoney's was entertained and to help them with some fund-raising activities.
Some discussion about family entertainment was carried out with Paul giving out some notes and tips. Paul also taught some basic balloon twisting.
