

Tri-Cities Magicians Society
Meeting called to order on December 3rd at 7:00PM at Shoneys (Exit 4 Clarksville, TN)
Members present: Jim Dennis, Paul Herrell, Wallace Redd , & Charles Rhodes
As this was the first meeting, elections were held as the first order of business:
Officers: President: Wallace Redd
Vice-President: Charles Rhodes
Secretary: Paul Herrell
Treasurer: Jim Dennis
Second order of Business: Reviewed and accepted the Constitution and By-Laws(Attached)
We discussed that non-eligible members can be associate members(cannot vote) or could be honorary members(also cannot vote).
We discussed possible meeting day change, Wallace will look in that option.
Discussed lecurers: Aldo Colombini going to Murfreesboro, Great Thomas being considered, will check on dates available.
Wanted to make sure lectures don't conflict with Magifest(Columbus, OH) or Winter Carnival(Gatlinburg). Option of having lectures at Ophthalmology Associates of Western Kentucky was considered, always available and free.
Tom Gibson was brought up as a possible lecturer and will d/w at next IBM meeting with him.
Wallace will prepare a newsletter and send it out to the Murfreesboro and Nashville potential members.
Members also discussed a trip to the Inferno(Murfreesboro) or Canteen (Nashville) for open mic. Stand-up.
Dues were collected: $20 Wallace Redd, $20 Paul Herrell
Break for magic:
Paul presented a Hershey kiss production he uses in kids shows and a nine card prediction routine.
Jim presented NFW, Factory Rejects, Brainwave, Patriotic Ropes, and a chop cup routine that kept everyone guessing.
Wallace presented some of his working and new material that entertained and amazed everyone present: Las Vegas Leaper, Mentalism(yes, mentalism from Wallace Redd) card prediction, 3D bunnies, Card to Wallet, 541 deck.
Charles Rhodes presented some of his artwork, a logo for the club and performed several small miracles right in front of our eyes: Picture this, Las Vegas Glasses, Coin in cup, and a Card Stab Routine.
The meeting continued with members exchanging tips on card work, ie. Elmsley Count, and other helpful advise. Camaraderie was enjoyed by all present.
The meeting concluded with the plan to meet again next month, possible end of year party and several members to work on contacting potential lecturers.
